POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the New Flyer Quality System is fully understood, consistently executed, and continuously maintained across the Winnipeg facility. As a key member of the plant leadership team, this role provides strategic and operational leadership to the Quality Assurance department while supporting overall plant performance. The Quality Manager plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction, firsttime quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within a dynamic twoshift manufacturing environment. WHAT YOU WILL DO Provide strategic leadership for the execution and evolution of New Flyers Quality Management System across the Winnipeg facility Lead, develop, and mentor a multilevel Quality Assurance organization, including succession planning and leadership capability development Establish clear performance expectations through effective use of objectives, metrics, and accountability frameworks Drive a culture of quality ownership across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Lead plantwide FirstTime Quality strategy focused on defect prevention, risk mitigation, and systemic rootcause elimination Analyze quality performance data to identify trends, prioritize risk, and inform executive decisionmaking Partner with plant leadership to integrate quality objectives into operational planning and execution Oversee customer quality performance, including property inspections, postdelivery concerns, and corrective action governance Direct Supplier Quality strategy including First Article Inspections, nonconforming material processes, and supplier corrective actions Ensure effective Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new product introductions and build transitions Maintain governance of ISO9001 certification, audit readiness, and New Flyer Management System compliance Develop and manage the Quality operating budget, aligning resources to highestimpact quality and business risks Ensure product inspections are appropriately resourced, standardized, and consistently executed across inspection teams Provide quality leadership and resources to support shipment readiness and resolution of deliveryrelated quality issues WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Minimum 6 years of Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment supporting complex, engineered solutions, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role Experience leading quality functions within automotive, commercial vehicle, aerospace, rail, or other complex engineered manufacturing environments, particularly those operating in lowvolume, highmix or configurationdriven production models, is strongly preferred Postsecondary education in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience Experience applying PPAPs, Quality Control Plans, and Production Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) within a manufacturing environment Experience working within formal quality management systems; ISO experience strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to lead structured, datadriven problem solving and root cause analysis Proven ability to lead teams, drive cultural change, build accountability, and effectively influence crossfunctional partners across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications Ability to operate effectively in fastpaced, dynamic manufacturing environments Up to 10% travel; must be eligible to travel to Canada or the U.S. OUR WHY We exist to move people.
