Course Code and Title CSCC09H3 Programming on the Web Course Description Introduction to software development on the web. Concepts underlying the development of programs that operate on the web, operational concepts of the internet and the web, static and dynamic client content, dynamically served content, ntiered architectures, web development processes, and security on the web. One Qualifications The successful candidate must demonstrate thorough, solid, and technical expertise in the topics explored during the course, including components of web applications, architecture of a web server, web service frameworks, manipulating the Document Object Model, analysis and debugging of web applications through a browser, serverclient communication models, and development of working web applications. They must deliver a course that follows the plan presented here: closely aligning with the content and organization of the Winter CSCB58 course offering. A prior teaching or relevant research experience at the postgraduate level is a strong asset. An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is required; first consideration will be given to those with graduatelevel expertise or relevant industry experience. Note: Rate of pay is $14,126.00 per halfcourse, higher than the posted amount. Duties All normal duties related to the design and teaching of an inperson University credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content (inperson), holding regular office hours, responding to student inquiries, and course administration such as developing an appropriate grading scheme, handling accommodations, writing and administering exams (including any deferred tests related to this particular offering), and managing/supervising TAs assigned to the course. Coordination with fulltime faculty to ensure the course content aligns with upstream expectations is required. Estimated TA Support (Hours) 65 hours per tutorial.
