At Payzant, the Order Desk is the hub of our customer experience. As an Order Desk Associate, you are the connection point between customers, sales, warehouse, and delivery teams. Your accuracy, communication, and service mindset ensure every order is processed correctly, efficiently, and with care. In this role, you will support contractors, homeowners, and internal teams by entering orders, providing product information, coordinating deliveries, and resolving inquiries. You play a critical role in delivering a seamless experience from quote to completion. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and accountability matter. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service - Greet and engage with both contractors and the public, offering detailed advice on products suitable for their projects. - Address customer inquiries promptly, ensuring a professional and satisfactory response to questions or concerns. - Handle complaints with a solution-oriented approach, aiming for swift and satisfactory resolutions that uphold the company's service standards. - Actively seek customer feedback to identify areas of improvement. Bring recommendations to Store Management based on this feedback and evolving customer trends. - Handle phone calls courteously. Sales - Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current products offered. Have the ability to recommend and explain those products, their benefits and applications in relation to the customers project. - Assist customers in planning and quoting for projects, providing detailed information and pricing to help them make informed decisions. - Process special orders, including tracking, updating customers on status, and ensuring orders are correct and complete upon arrival. - Stay informed on current promotions and store flyers. Operational Support - Handle various payment methods accurately, ensuring a smooth checkout process for customers/clients. - Be involved in tracking inventory levels, ordering products as needed, and managing stock to ensure availability for customer projects. - Maintain a clean and orderly service desk, ensuring a professional appearance and efficient workspace. Health and Safety - Work in compliance with laws and regulations, attend and complete all required health and safety training, report all accidents, and take every precaution reasonable to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS - Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. - Ability to work independently but collaboratively within the store team. - Comfortable working in a dynamic retail environment. - Willingness to expand understanding of products and services offered, embracing training and ongoing initiatives. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. - Strong problem-solving capabilities and technical knowledge.
