Position Overview The Brand Manager plays a pivotal role in leading brand excellence across multiple touchpoints in a fastpaced and deadlinedriven environment. This role is responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and market performance of assigned brands within their portfolio. This role leads the development and execution of brand strategies, consumer marketing campaigns, new product launch strategy and execution, and crossfunctional initiatives that strengthen brand equity and deliver business results. The ideal candidate is a datadriven marketer with strong commercial acumen, a passion for consumer insights, and effectively collaborates across Marketing, Sales, Innovation, Finance, and Supply Chain teams. This position will be based out of our Dartmouth head office and operate within our hybrid model. Key Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Brand Strategy & Planning Develop and execute annual brand plans to achieve volume, revenue, and profit targets. Define brand positioning, value proposition, and communication strategies across brands and channels. Lead competitive analysis, category reviews, and market assessments to identify opportunities and threats. Provides project direction and leadership for components of the marketing plan including communication, packaging, promotions, and other marketing support programs. Performs administrative functions required to manage the portfolio including preparation of regular reports outlining business performance and managing the status of projects. Marketing Activation, Packaging Design, & Consumer Insights Plan and execute integrated marketing and media campaigns across digital, social, retail, and traditional media. Collaborate with agencies on creative development, media planning, and campaign optimization. Lead endtoend packaging development process, including structural design, artwork, claims, copy, and visual identity ensuring packaging aligns with brand strategy, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives. Translate consumer, pointofsale data, and market insights into brand and innovation strategies. Crossfunctional coordination with Digital team to ensure media consistency and integration across channels. Innovation & Content Strategy Supports new product development for individual brands through ideation, competitive analysis, pricing analysis, product positioning, and packaging design. Supports the launch of new items with excellence by providing support materials, education, and media. Leads the content creation strategy for the brand to inform, educate and engage consumers. Provides direction for social and branded content on Etail websites (Amazon), and social media and branded (owned) digital properties. Analysis & Decision Making Researches and interprets market trends, competitive activity, and consumer attitudes and behaviours. Adjusts marketing strategy and programs accordingly. Analyzes brand data (performance, category and consumer trends, comments, and reviews) and tracks KPIs to report and inform strategy. Contributes to setting price, distribution, and sales promotion strategies. Analyzes programs and activities to evaluate the impact on the business. Collaborates with the Director of Brand and Digital to develop the annual marketing budget and effectively manage assigned budget responsibilities. Environmental And Social Responsibility Support with the development, implementation and monitoring of the organizations environmental and social goals as they relate to your team. This includes establishing your teams performance metrics in alignment with the organizations sustainability strategy. Identify opportunities for innovation or continuous improvement to enhance the organizations sustainability goals (such as waste reduction/ diversion, circularity/ plastic reduction, emissions reduction, sustainable procurement, local sourcing, etc.). Foster a culture of sustainability within the organization by encouraging your teams participation in sustainability initiatives and committees (such as volunteering at community events, Sustainability Committee/ DEI Committee participation, 1% for the Planet employee nomination contest, etc.). Qualifications & Experience Passion! Integrity! Creativity! Completion of a University degree with a business or marketing focus and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years progressive brand marketing experience. Demonstrated success in product/brand management both offline and online, preferably in the food and/or CPG industry. Outstanding communication skills, including strong presentation skills. Ability to communicate both externally and internally, coupled with the confidence to convincingly present to key decision makers at all levels. Superior marketing acumen: ability to recognize and act on brand strategies and evaluate performance based on strategic goals. Highly disciplined, organized, selfmotivated and genuinely committed to success. Excellent analytical skills. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience in the Natural Health Industry is an asset. Travel Some travel will be required, both nationally and internationally.
