Vertex Resource Group Ltd. is currently hiring a Safety Advisor for Project Field Based jobs beginning May to support our project and turnaround season. Most of the projects will be in camp and away for weeks at a time. Key Responsibilities Act as a subject matter expert in confined space operations, industrial cleaning procedures, and first aid response. Prepare and facilitate daily and weekly safety meetings, ensuring crews are informed of hazards, procedures, and safety expectations. Develop, implement, and oversee rescue plans for confined space entry and work at heights activities. Support crews in the completion and review of hazard assessments and job hazard analyses to ensure risks are identified and controlled. Monitor onsite personnel to ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, client requirements, permits, and company policies. Manage onsite safety resources including breathing air systems, gas detection equipment, radios, and monitoring meters, and provide technical support as required. Conduct daily reviews of completed safety documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and client standards, and distribute copies as required. Assist with worksite inspections and incident investigations as delegated by the supervisor. Supervise, support, and mentor Vertex personnel, promoting a strong safety culture and operational excellence. Qualifications National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation required. Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety-related role on site. Demonstrated experience in industrial cleaning environments, including confined space entry, high-pressure operations, and related safety procedures. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, hazard assessments, permits, and safe work practices within industrial or field-based operations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with field crews, supervisors, and clients. Strong time management skills, with the ability to balance office responsibilities and field presence. Proven customer service mindset and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Demonstrated administrative and documentation skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lead, guide, and mentor team members within the scope of the role. H2S, Standard First Aid, CSO, CSTS tickets are required. Valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract required.
