Responsibilities Contribute to the technical expertise on a variety of multidisciplinary projects including: Design of traffic signals and illumination Prepare lighting and traffic signal layouts Prepare wiring diagrams and electrical details Photometric analysis of lighting systems Design of lowvoltage electrical distribution for subdivisions Voltage drop calculations Prepare contract documents and specifications Site visits and contract administration Coordinate variety of multidisciplinary projects for both public and private sector clients Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request Learning & Development Commit to selfdevelopment and ongoing learning and professional development Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring Contribute to Dillons corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees Qualifications Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months A minimum of 510 years professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry IMSA Certifications in Traffic Signal Level I and Level II Design, Roadway Lighting Technician Level I and Level II considered an asset Experience Proven experience in the design of traffic signals and illumination Knowledge of AGi32 and other lighting calculation programs Knowledge of various municipal and MTO lighting and traffic signal design standards Knowledge of MTO Contract Preparation System (CPS) Knowledge of ANSI/IES, Transportation Association of Canada standards and Ontario Electrical Safety Code as they relate to lighting and traffic signals Strong abilities in project management/coordination Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essential Compensation $85,000.00 $135,000.00 Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicants education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
