What is the Opportunity? As a Technical Lead Windows Server Operations you will play a key role in providing 24x7 front line support to Windows Server Operating Systems, Windows clustering, VMware and HyperV virtualization, and Server Hardware. Responsibilities include triaging complex incidents, fulfilling client requests, performing infrastructure changes, and ensuring that Service Level Agreements are met. The ideal candidate is passionate about server operating systems, hardware, virtualization, automation and security. What will you do? Triage and resolve complex issues relating to server operating systems, clustering, virtualization and hardware using industry standard best practices and documented security standards Identify and prioritize events, incidents and requests Manage client expectations while meeting operational SLAs, technical SLOs Execute server changes to support the safety, security and functionality of the server estate Work closely with partner infrastructure teams and external vendors to restore services and determine root cause of issues Develop runbook automation to streamline complex tasks Develop documentation on technical processes and troubleshooting Work in a fast paced and constantly evolving technical environment What do you need to succeed? Musthave: 35 years of Windows Server support 35 years of experience working with server hardware Strong understanding of virtualization and clustering Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy Experience developing scripting and runbook automation Knowledge of OSI model and clientserver model Knowledge of networking components & concepts such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, SSL, TLS Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on collaboration amongst support teams and clients Excellent problem solving skills coupled with the ability to drive issues toward resolution Nicetohave: Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Ansible Professional certifications, e.g. MCSA, MCSE, VCP Understanding of ITIL, SRE frameworks Whats in it for you?
