What is the opportunity? The Fixed Income Purchases & Sales group within RBC Capital Markets Global Operations division is looking for an Analyst to perform daily processing, clearance, settlement and/or Purchase & Sales functions associated with Federal and Non-Federal Fixed Income securities. This group focuses on supporting fixed income products across North America. The role offers an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic team, providing critical support for the firms daytoday activities while contributing to the divisions target operating model. What will you do? Effectively work with teams across multiple business entities in a fastpaced environment to ensure the settlement of US Fixed Income trades Take ownership of inquiries, deliver on commitments, and ask for support as needed Handle trade confirmations (verbal/written) Report and resolve fail trades Resolve cash, position break, and claim discrepancies Handle all trade exceptions promptly and troubleshoot issues prior to settlement Ensure compliance with all department procedures and policies Work on Canadian statutory holidays (timeinlocus provided) Collect and analyze information What you need to succeed? Must haves New graduate or 12 years of work experience Located near the Halifax office and willing to follow hybrid work arrangements Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Ability to work in a fastpaced environment Detailoriented, organized, and resultsdriven Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Strong interpersonal skills; able to work in a team and support others as required Proficient computer skills in Windowsbased software Nicetohaves Basic understanding of Fixed Income products Recognized financial industry qualifications (e.g., CSC, SIE, SERIES99, CFA Level1) Experience with Excel macros/VBA and access databases Experience with Broadridge Impact Knowledge of DTCC systems (CMU/RTTM and settlement webs) What''''s in it for you?
