They will be responsible for overseeing the team who leads the daytoday planning, management and oversight of the implementation of the Hospital Development Project, with specific accountability for the construction elements. Qualifications University/college education, preferably in construction or engineering. Working from Heights training and certification. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred. Minimum ten to fifteen years of construction oversight, project management relevant experience, work within healthcare facilities is an asset. Demonstrated understanding of and experience with the Ministry of Health Capital Planning process. Experience in P3 Infrastructure Ontario contracts; DBF/M contracts preferred. Demonstrated project control skills, including development and monitoring of budgets and schedules. Must strive to continuously provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, physicians, and volunteers. Demonstrated computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project), and AutoCad, Bluebeam, and Rivet is an asset. Must adhere to the duties of workers as stipulated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Must have an ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) in the English language to provide excellent communication with team members, patients and families. Ability to communicate in additional language(s) is considered an asset. Able to work in a hybrid work environment. This role will require work from home or selfprovided office, work from hospital, work in a construction trailer and active work site. Ability to travel between hospital campus and construction site. Must be dedicated to professional growth & development. Must be able to perform all bona fide and essential duties of the position, which may include physical demands such as pushing, pulling, bending, etc. Must have demonstrated excellent attendance/performance record. Excellent organization and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with other members of the team. Duties and Responsibilities Models the core values of Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Working with stakeholders from the hospital, the Hospital Development team and the community, establish and maintain the project foundational elements: charter, project vision, guiding principles. Have responsibility for overseeing all elements of the Ministry of Health Capital Planning Stage submissions and followup elements throughout the full course of the project. Work collaboratively with a wide variety of project partners to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met and are in alignment with the Hospital''''s mission, vision, and values and strategic directions. Lead a team to manage the daytoday activities associated with the planning and implementation of a project including liaising with Hospital User Groups, Hospital Leadership, Consultants, Contractors, Municipality, Foundation, Ministry of Health Capital Team, and other partner groups to ensure the project remains within the developed project parameters. Lead a team to implement Capital Development project management processes and best practices including planning, design development, working drawing preparation, budget, risk management and schedule control, occupancy planning and postoccupancy evaluation. Participate in the development of requests for qualifications/proposal, business cases and contracts in the selection of consultants, vendors and product standardization. Participate/facilitate all project related meetings, including but not limited to User Group meetings, Community Engagement, Design meetings, Specified Constructor meetings, Project Steering Committee, and others as necessary. Ensure all work follows Infection Control standards and the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations. Work under own initiative to drive project processes while displaying energy and enthusiasm within the role and deliver project on time and on budget. Prepare presentations and briefing notes in collaboration with Vice President, for Steering Committees, Board Meetings, and other required venues. Active participation in the Hospital''''s Health and Safety Internal Responsibility System, which includes maintaining accountability for the defined responsibilities listed in applicable legislation, policies and procedures.
