Lecturer/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Academic Pediatric Anesthesiologist The Hospital for Sick Children Toronto, Canada The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine at SickKids Hospital is seeking to recruit an Academic Pediatric Anesthesiologist. The successful candidate must be eligible for a fulltime clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The candidate must also meet the criteria for appointment to the title of ClinicianScientist/Investigator/Educator/Teacher/Administrator as described by the University of Toronto Temerty Faculty of Medicine. Start date for this position is Summer 2026. Qualifications: MD (or equivalent) and advanced fellowship training in pediatric anesthesia. Strong clinical and educational background. Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Proficiency in English. Ability to obtain the appropriate visa, if applicable. Responsibilities: Deliver clinical pediatric anesthesia services, including perioperative care of children undergoing neurosurgical, general/thoracic, plastic/craniofacial, orthopedic/spine, and otorhinolaryngology procedures. Provide care for children undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as radiology, GI, oncology, and burn injury management. Participate in the education of anesthesia trainees, including medical students, residents, and fellows affiliated with the University of Toronto. Possibly participate in the Acute Pain Service, PreAnesthesia Clinic, Simulation, Sedation services, Quality and Patient Safety, Bioinformatics, and various administrative roles. Develop and implement an academic plan with clear deliverables at the 1, 3, and 5year marks. Access worldclass research support through affiliation with the SickKids Research Institute for those with strong research credentials and a prepared academic plan. Remuneration will be competitive with other academic pediatric anesthesia positions in Canada, with a salary range of $295,000$450,000 per year plus an equal distribution of billing overages.
