Your Next Challenge Reporting to the Senior NSUR Planning Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagles values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment. Responsibilities - Produce development and stope layouts; - Check work of peers for correctness and accuracy; - Develop mining plans in conjunction with other departments such as maintenance, electrical, geology and underground and are required to follow all acts regulations under the OHSA and Reg. 854; - Stay current of activities within respective headings and remain up-to date of production, development and drilling rates to accurately schedule and prioritize required work; - Provide input to the Senior Mine Planner to develop and maintain a rolling 3-month plan, which will allow the mine to meet its production/exploration commitments and goals; - Work jointly with Underground Captains to develop daily and weekly plans in a timely manner; - Update all Deswik level layers on an as needed basis following drawing standards; - Provide reference tools for the mine department to operate effectively/accurately; - Assist with plan for all mine design and planned production with focus on short and mid-term plans; - Other responsibilities as assigned; - Assist the Survey team with Training, Underground & Surface work when required; - Assist in the creation of Month End survey Prints; - Work with geology department to ensure plans have the most up to date geological information; - Lead design meetings and communicate plans. What You Need to Succeed - Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering; - 2 years of relevant experience in an operating mine; - Experience in an Underground Hard Rock Mining environment; - Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Your Work Schedule Schedule: 7 days of work, followed by 7 days off, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. Compensation Statement In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity.
