The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canadas largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the worlds leading research centres in its field. CAMH Foundation is charged with raising and stewarding funds in support of CAMH. Its role is to help transform the way we understand and address mental illness by raising awareness and increasing engagement across the country. Generous and dedicated supporters help CAMH advance discovery and innovation, build spaces that promote recovery, and break down the stigma of mental illness. With a vision to inspire philanthropy to solve the greatest mental health challenges of our time, the Philanthropy team is responsible for inspiring philanthropic support from individuals in the private sector, making up over 70% of CAMH Foundations annual revenue. The Opportunity The Coordinator, Philanthropy provides administrative and operations support to the Philanthropy (Major Gifts) team. This role coordinates activities that support the effective discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of the Foundations supporters. Key Responsibilities - Provide administrative and operations support to Philanthropy Officers in their relationship management of donors and prospects. - Schedule and coordinate personalized logistics for inperson and virtual meetings, including tours, on behalf of staff with prospects, donors, volunteers and others. - Assist the Philanthropy team with senior volunteer activity, including tracking prospect activity, report generation, and supporting the identification of opportunities for engagement. - Draft, format, review and edit a range of donor correspondence including gift agreements, gift acknowledgements, pledge forms & reminders, invitations, and more. - Draft materials related to prospect solicitations such as a communication briefs and requests, a letter of interest, fundraising discussion guides, onepagers and decks. - Update and maintain donor database (Raisers Edge), electronic files and records in a timely manner as per our policies and business processes. - Assist with the preparation of proposals, stewardship reports, briefing notes, and other donor materials and packages. - Support bestinclass stewardship by assisting in the timely delivery of donor engagement touchpoints. - Coordinate with hospital leadership and staff to fulfill responsibilities in donor engagement and stewardship. - Prepare and distribute regular program reports and presentation material using various software tools for word processing, spreadsheets and database management, including but not exclusive to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Raisers Edge, Qlik Sense and Power Point. - Review pipelines and prospect lists, make recommendations and perform quality control on lists pertaining to event invitations, recognition, and fundraising products. - Perform general office support duties such as providing telephone backup, data entry, preparing meeting packages, filing, arranging couriers and mailings. - Leading with curiosity, proactively learns about the Hospitals areas of expertise and excellence clinical care, research, education and policy in order to effectively support fundraising priorities. - 12 years or more of relevant work experience in nonprofit administration or operations. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Strong overall administrative skills, including well developed business writing and proofreading experience. - Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and follow through on work independently once trained and oriented to the role. - Commitment to timely and appropriate customer service, rooted in initiative and tact. - Demonstrated ability to multitask and to successfully manage multiple priorities as evidenced by excellent organizational and time management skills. - Superior computer literacy in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Adobe InDesign experience an asset. - Experience using donor or CRM databases. Raisers Edge knowledge strongly preferred. - A flexible team player able to collaborate and support colleagues and motivated to achieve results. - Professionalism, judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters essential. - Willingness to learn and to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate. - General knowledge of fundraising practices, procedures and standards preferred as evidenced by a combination of relevant work, education or professional development. Salary is competitive and based on experience, with a hiring range of $56,275 to $63,104 per year.
