As our team continues to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estimator to join us full-time. Position OverviewThe Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for roofing projects, including re-roofing, repairs, maintenance, and new construction. This role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, conducting site visits, calculating material and labour requirements, and working closely with project managers, customers, and suppliers. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial roofing projectsReview plans, tenders, and specifications to determine scope and requirementsConduct site visits to assess project conditions and measurementsPrepare material take-offs and labour calculationsRequest and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractorsPrepare bid packages, proposals, and supporting documentationMaintain organized project files and estimate recordsCollaborate with the project management team to ensure accurate job costingAssist with change orders, budget updates, and project forecastingCommunicate professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams QualificationsEstimating experience in roofing or construction (commercial roofing experience an asset)Strong understanding of roofing systems (flat, shingle, metal, commercial membranes, etc.)Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, tender documents, and site reportsProficiency with estimation software, MS Excel, and digital toolsExcellent math, analytical, and organizational skillsStrong communication skills and attention to detailValid drivers license; ability to visit job sites as required What We OfferPermanent full-time positionCompetitive wages Benefits package (health/dental)Retirement package (RRSP/TFSA)Supportive team environmentOpportunities for professional development and advancementWork with a reputable, established roofing contractor
