Assistant Professor - Department of Philosophy Mount Allison University invites applications for a fulltime ninemonth sessional position as Lecturer or Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy. Position: Fulltime, ninemonth sessional; commencement on August152026 (subject to budgetary approval). Teaching commitment: five undergraduate courses. Teaching Responsibilities Introductory Philosophy Introductory Ethics Yearlong Ancient Philosophy (6 credits) Thirdyear course on a researchrelated topic (preferred focus on Ancient Philosophy) Qualifications Near completion of a PhD in Philosophy (or a completed PhD) Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching Promising research profile; experience or research interest in Ancient Philosophy preferred Demonstrated ability to support departmental commitment to the history of philosophy Preferred candidates are members of equitydeserving groups; application instructions are inclusive.
