Job Description: As a Sandbanks Winery Associate, you create the experience our guests remember. From the moment they arrive, you have a direct impact on the lasting memories by providing an exceptional tasting experience and beyond. We are looking for people who can conduct tastings in our tasting room and barrel room while providing a fun and educational wine experience for our clientele. If you love wine and truly enjoy meeting new people, this is the perfect job for you! Daily Life Welcome and engage guests in a friendly and enthusiastic way. Kindness and individual personalities are encouraged! Tasting room duties include but not limited to telling our story, pouring wine samples, maintaining wine & merchandise levels, wine sales, promoting our wine club, using our POS system, polishing glassware, daily closing procedures as assigned by Manager. Help the team meet sales targets. Serving alcohol in a controlled and responsible manner. Requirements 18 years of age or older. Smart Serve certificate. English/French bilingual an asset. Must possess a passion for people, wine, food, and the hospitality industry. WSET or ISG considered an asset but not mandatory. Detail oriented, multitasking ability and strong work ethic required individually and as part of a team. Courteous, friendly, positive attitude. Able to lift 40lbs and stand for long periods of time. Able to work weekends throughout the season. Work well as part of a diverse team. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of wine and the wine industry.
