Volleyball Prince Edward Island (VPEI) Location: Charlottetown, PE Reports to: Volleyball PEI Board of Directors About Volleyball Prince Edward Island Volleyball PEI is the recognized Provincial Sport Organization responsible for the governance, development, promotion, and delivery of indoor and beach volleyball across Prince Edward Island. We work collaboratively with athletes, clubs, coaches, volunteers, Sport PEI, and Volleyball Canada to support lifelong participation, athlete development, coach education, and excellence in performance. The Opportunity Volleyball PEI is seeking a dynamic, values-driven Executive & Technical Director (ED/TD) to provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED/TD will lead the growth and development of volleyball across the province while ensuring strong governance, sustainable operations, and highquality programming at all levels. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Organizational Leadership Lead the implementation and achievement of VPEIs strategic plan Provide daytoday leadership and management of organizational operations Advise and support the Board of Directors on policy, planning, governance, and risk Prepare materials for Board meetings and participate as a nonvoting resource Support planning and delivery of the Annual General Meeting Technical & Program Leadership Plan, develop, and deliver provincial performance programming (indoor and beach), including: Provincial Excellence Programming (PEP) Summer provincial programs Coordination of VPEI day camps (seasonal) Sport science integration Support and strengthen the club volleyball system across PEI Oversee NCCP delivery in collaboration with Volleyball Canada, Sport PEI Coaching, and the Coaches Association of Canada Design and deliver professional development opportunities for coaches Assist the Referee Committee with training and development opportunities Foster strong relationships with coaches, officials, athletes, and clubs Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board Ensure prudent management of financial and physical resources Seek and secure funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships Oversee hiring and supervision of staff and seasonal interns Ensure accountability, reporting, and compliance with stakeholder requirements Stakeholder Relations & Promotion Maintain strong working relationships with Sport PEI, Volleyball Canada, government partners, and other PSOs Promote volleyball and VPEI programs through digital platforms and traditional media Respond to inquiries from members, stakeholders, and the public Qualifications & Experience Postsecondary degree or diploma in Sport Management, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Demonstrated leadership experience in sport management or administration Highperformance technical and tactical knowledge of volleyball Familiarity with the LongTerm Athlete Development (LTAD) model Experience with financial management and budget preparation Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Playing and/or coaching experience at the university/college level or higher is an asset Playing and/or coaching experience in beach volleyball considered an asset Successful completion of Criminal Records with and Vulnerable Sector Check Term Fulltime, two (2)year contract with potential for renewal Compensation package Salary: $60,000$70,000 annually (commensurate with experience) Paid vacation & sick leave Health Benefits RRSP match program (*after probationary period) Laptop & cellphone provided Hours: 37.5 hours per week, MondayFriday, 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m. In office is expected for training and transition period. Remote work is available after establishing understanding of position.
