JOB REQUIREMENTS Controls Software Designer Shift: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Travel requirement: Able to travel ~3 weeks/year to the USA or Europe for machine installation Programming Full understanding of AllenBradley Rockwell programming environments Ability to code unique and complex applications from scratch Lead and complete code reviews Integration Debug and commission medium to large projects with multiple cells Troubleshoot complex technical issues using internal/external resources Communication Resolve project issues with PM and department leads Communicate solutions, status updates, escalations, and project needs Decision Making Make highlevel decisions for planning and scheduling Assign tasks with clear deadlines Estimate labour and schedule for a cell Problem Solving Coach others on ABM tools Rootcause complex issues Leadership Execute a multicell project while leading 13 teammates Develop and adjust schedules to meet FAT dates Ensure projects meet URS requirements Experience programming from scratch using AllenBradley PLCs (Rockwell Automation) Experience across diverse industries (not only automotive) Knowledge of the full project lifecycle Understanding of AllenBradley servo motors for pickandplace motion For experienced profiles: experience on 7+ machines, each ~1year build time, and able to guide teammates (max 25% of the time) no project management required Experience programming/operating ABB robots Familiarity with B&R PLC systems Why Join Us?
