Job Title: Controls & Systems Analyst Job Posting Number: 2026-0088 Posting Type: Internal & External Posting Period: Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. to Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. Department: Human Resources Union: Nonunion Position Status: Temporary Full-Time Job Code: NU0031 Grade/Class: NU10 Number of Positions: 1 Rate of Pay: $89,158.48 - $108,373.20 annually Hours of Work per Week: 35 hours Shift Work Required: No Duties and Responsibilities: Supporting the overall design, maintenance and administration of the Human Resources Information System; Maintaining data integrity between various systems, performing data analytics and report development, and maintaining the technical function of the Corporations ELearning Platform; Acting as liaison between internal stakeholders (Human Resources, IT, Corporate Departments, etc.) to ensure all systemrelated compliance obligations are met from both legislative and negotiated perspectives; Researching, translating and documenting interpretations of various regulatory measures and Collective Agreements to ensure systems are properly configured, tested, and deployed; Configuring and maintaining both the Human Resources HCM system and the Time and Attendance system to ensure they are properly configured, fully compliant and secure and meet both the functional and business needs of the Corporation; Creating, delivering and processing administrative, analytical and system use reports for operational and reporting requirements; Providing daytoday support for users across the corporation, ensuring that knowledge transfer and training occurs for all changes or upgrades; Analyzing and designing techniques to solve business problems using information technology to assist stakeholders with obtaining timely and accurate information; Assessing the quality of internal controls and compliance by reviewing preedit routines and reporting tools used to conduct quality assurance checks and reconciliations of data entered by others; Assisting with innovation through automation, process improvements and system enhancements as it relates to Human Resources documentation, processing and tracking; Performing Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporations Health and Safety Program; Performing other related duties as required. Qualifications: Must have a University degree in Business, Sciences or Computer Information Systems or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency and a minimum of two (2) years experience providing strategic application support and systems analysis in a Human Resources or Payroll environment; OR Must have a postsecondary school Community College diploma in Business, Sciences or Computer Information Systems or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency and a minimum of four (4) years experience providing strategic application support and systems analysis in a Human Resources or Payroll environment; OR Must have an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma, with an additional one (1) year of postsecondary education in Business, Sciences or Computer Information Systems or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency and a minimum of six (6) years experience providing strategic application support and systems analysis in a Human Resources or Payroll environment; OR Must have an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma, and a minimum of ten (10) years experience providing strategic application support and systems analysis in a Human Resources or Payroll environment; Must have the ability to travel to offsite locations in a timely and expedient manner as required. If method of travel is by vehicle, a current valid and lawful drivers licence is required in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act and must provide a drivers abstract as a condition of employment; Must have experience with business intelligence tools and relational databases; Must have knowledge of applicable legislation, such as Pay Equity, Employment Standards Act, EI Act, Income Tax Act, OMERS, Ontario Pension Benefits Act, MFIPPA, OHSA, Privacy laws, etc.; Must possess strong analytical and problemsolving skills, and be able to interpret a complicated problem/solution and explain it in nontechnical terms; Must be able to deal calmly and professionally with users, with proven oral and written communications skills; Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, exports/imports etc.; Must have experience generating data sets for Corporate statistics; Must have experience creating and presenting/administering training on the use of Human / Enterprise Resources systems; Experience using PeopleSoft, maintaining portals, and developing websites is a definite asset; Experience with LMS content creation and system administration is a definite asset; Should have knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, its regulations and knowledge of the hazards associated with the work.
