Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO, www.youthhubs.ca) is a network of 32, Integrated Youth Services (IYS) hub networks that currently operate in over 40 communities, where young people ages 12 to 25 years have walk-in access to youth-centered, community-based mental health and wellness services. YWHO engages youth, family members, service providers, and other partners through a co-creation process, enhancing the relevance, acceptability, and youth friendliness of services. The hubs are provincially consistent in core features and locally led and adapted to offer and connect to a range of evidence-based servicesmental health care, substance use health services, primary care, education, employment, housing, peer support, family support and care navigationin youth-friendly spaces. Outcomes are rigorously evaluated within and across hubs, focusing on positive outcomes in areas of wellness important to youth and their families. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all. The YWHO Provincial Office (PO) is currently recruiting an Evaluation Specialist for a 1-year contract position. The Evaluation Specialist will report to the Manager of Evaluation at YWHO. They will be responsible for supporting the evaluation activities at YWHO Hub Networks across the province in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of evaluators, implementation specialists, youth engagement coordinators, health equity specialist, and provincial youth and family advisories. Additionally, the Evaluation Specialist will provide expertise and advice related to equity, antiracism, traumainformed and antioppression to strengthen internal YWHO evaluation practices to support the evaluation of the YWHO model across hub networks. The Evaluation Specialist will work collaboratively across multiple teams and sites to provide an integrated, standardized, coordinated approach to the evaluation of the YWHO model. This position is located outside of the GTA. Responsibilities will include Implementing feasible, efficient, and sustainable evaluation plans for work connected to the implementation of the YWHO model at sites across the province using a variety of different evaluation tools (such as logic models, theories of change, frameworks, indicator development, data support systems and reporting tools) and approaches (such as developmental, formative and summative). Develop and support strategies to promote an ongoing learning culture for integrating equity into evaluation and data frameworks (workshop coordination, lunch & learns, Community of Practice, provide support/ consultation to YWHO sites). Generate, understand and review trends, monitoring and evaluating data, to identify gaps and opportunities to strengthen equitable service delivery into program and project planning for the YWHO program. Using and/or developing culturally-relevant evaluation approaches, methods, and dissemination strategies when working with priority populations (e.g., First Nations, Inuit, and Mtis, Francophone, racialized and marginalized communities, etc.). Facilitating group-based dialogue and decision-making with diverse partner groups with various levels of evaluation and sector literacy. Linking evaluation findings with continuous quality improvement to inform implementation planning and coaching to sustainable practice and system change. Engaging and working with key internal and external partners. Developing methods for and coordinating the collection and management of qualitative and quantitative data (e.g. protocol development, survey development, interview and focus group guides, data storage and quality assurance, coding, analyses, data visualization). Analyze and visualize complex data to derive data-driven insights, tell impactful stories and support evaluation activities. Providing and building capacity to sustain system-level and provider level evaluation. The successful candidate will have a Masters degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Evaluation, Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Sciences) or a Bachelors degree with equivalent experience in evaluation plus (3) years of related experience in the field of health services and specific experience in mental health and/or addictions services. Demonstrated expertise in applying an equity lens and integrating health equity evaluation frameworks within mental health contexts is required. Evaluation experience in Integrated Youth Services (IYS), mental health, youth populations, fidelity assessment, as well as evaluation experience within community-based settings is considered a strong asset. Experience or training in data governance, including familiarity with OCAP principles, is also considered a strong asset. The Evaluation Specialist will have experience facilitating group-based dialogue and decision-making with diverse partner groups with various levels of evaluation and data literacy. They will have experience developing evaluation frameworks, SOPs, logic models, indicators, and reporting tools. The Evaluation Specialist will have an understanding of and experience with using or developing culturally-relevant evaluation approaches, methods, and dissemination strategies when working with priority populations (e.g., First Nations, Inuit, and Mtis, Francophone, racialized and marginalized communities, etc.). The Evaluation Specialist must demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to dynamic project needs. They will have strong skills related to data storage and management, quality assurance, coding, analyses, and data visualization. The candidate will have advanced proficiency in R or Python and experience with qualitative software (e.g., NVIVO). The candidate must also have experience with measurement-based care data platforms and experience with data collection in remote settings. The successful candidate must have a proven ability to write evaluation findings for a variety of different audiences, and the ability to formulate materials suitable for wider audiences is required. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication (oral/written) and community engagement skills. The successful candidate is able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse team. The Evaluation Specialist will be committed to being respectful, ethical, culturally-sensitive, and mindful of necessary practices related to evaluation. Salary is competitive and based on experience, with a hiring range of $83,797.50$104,746.88 per year. Employees in this role may progress within the full pay range of $83,797.50$125,696.26 per year.
