HMSHost is seeking a highly experienced, bilingual (French & English) HR Business Partner to provide strategic and operational HR support for our Food & Beverage operations at YUL Airport. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will work closely with operational leaders to drive talent management, employee engagement, and labor relations initiatives. This role is onsite full-time, reports to the Regional Director of People & Culture Operations, and requires expertise in operational HR, employee relations, and labor law compliance. MontralTrudeau International Airport (YUL) Onsite Compensation: $100,000 $105,000 annualized Contract: 3-month temporary contract with option for renewal Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Partnership Act as a trusted advisor to Operations leaders on HR strategy, talent management, and organizational development. Identify workforce trends, recommend actionable solutions, and implement HR initiatives to achieve business goals. Employee Lifecycle Management Oversee the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, engagement, performance management, development, retention, and offboarding. Ensure HR programs and processes create a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment. Employee & Labor Relations Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations. Maintain strong labor relations knowledge and support managers on collective bargaining agreements (CBA). Participate in grievances, arbitrations, and contract discussions when needed. HR Compliance & Operations Ensure all HR practices comply with company policies and employment laws. Partner with corporate People & Culture and Legal teams to resolve complex HR matters. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR trends, employment regulations, and best practices. Leadership & Culture Foster a visible, accessible presence with frontline teams and leaders. Support change management initiatives and promote a culture of continuous engagement, learning, and improvement. Qualifications Experience 5+ years HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist experience, preferably in hospitality or Food & Beverage operational environments. Proven experience advising leaders on employee relations, labor relations, and performance management. Experience managing large, unionized teams is highly desirable. Education & Certification Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Masters degree or MBA an asset. CHRP / CHRL / SHRM-SCP / SPHR or equivalent certification preferred. Skills & Competencies Bilingual: French and English required Expert in employee relations, HR policies, talent management, HRIS, and Microsoft Office. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and maintain high professional standards. Proven ability to partner with leaders and drive operational excellence. Identifier les tendances de la main-duvre, recommander des solutions concrtes et mettre en uvre des initiatives RH pour atteindre les objectifs daffaires. Gestion du cycle de vie des employs Superviser le cycle de vie complet des employs : recrutement, intgration, engagement, gestion de la performance, dveloppement, rtention et dpart. Sassurer que les programmes et processus RH crent un environnement de travail positif, conforme et performant. Relations avec les employs et relations de travail Fournir des conseils experts sur les enjeux de relations avec les employs, la rsolution de conflits et les enqutes en milieu de travail. Maintenir une solide connaissance des relations de travail et soutenir les gestionnaires sur les conventions collectives (CCT). Participer aux griefs, arbitrages et discussions contractuelles au besoin. Conformit RH et oprations Sassurer que toutes les pratiques RH respectent les politiques de lentreprise et la lgislation du travail. Collaborer avec les quipes corporatives de People & Culture et juridique pour rsoudre des enjeux complexes. Se tenir jour sur les tendances RH, la rglementation et les meilleures pratiques. Leadership et culture Maintenir une prsence visible et accessible auprs des quipes de premire ligne et des leaders. Soutenir les initiatives de gestion du changement et promouvoir une culture dengagement continu, dapprentissage et damlioration. Qualifications Exprience 5+ annes dexprience en tant que partenaire RH ou gnraliste senior, de prfrence dans lhtellerie ou les oprations de restauration et alimentation. Exprience avre en relations avec les employs, relations de travail et gestion de la performance. Exprience dans la gestion dquipes importantes et syndiques est un atout majeur. ducation et certification Baccalaurat en ressources humaines, administration des affaires ou domaine connexe. Matrise ou MBA est un atout. Certification CHRP / CHRL / SHRM-SCP / SPHR ou quivalent prfrable.
