Key Responsibilities Partner with the public affairs team to translate strategy and messaging into high-impact, on-brand creative for integrated campaigns across digital, print, and experiential channels. Lead creative concepting and production from brief to delivery, ensuring ideas are strong, original, and functional across formats. Provide art direction across all visual components (design, photography, illustration, layout), maintaining alignment with campaign objectives and brand standards. Produce and oversee day-to-day design output across core deliverables, including print, web (WordPress/Elementor or comparable), motion, HTML5 assets, and video. Maintain and continuously improve the Canadian Strategy Group website, including updates, landing pages, and content presentation improvements. Present concepts and recommendations to clients with clear rationale while incorporating feedback. Champion and steward CSGs visual identity across the firm; enforce consistency, refine guidelines, and evolve the system as the organization grows. Maintain internal templates, toolkits, and standards to improve speed, consistency, and production quality across the team. Support new business development by developing pitches, visual systems, and presentation materials that differentiate CSG. Manage external vendors and partners (photographers, printers, developers, illustrators, etc.) to ensure quality, timelines, and budget alignment. Own quality control across deliverables, ensuring a high degree of polish and technical accuracy. Manage timelines and priorities across concurrent projects, flag risks early and keep work moving to deadline. Contribute to a high-performing creative culture through education, constructive critique, and recommending process improvements. Essential Qualifications Demonstrated experience leading and executing integrated campaigns across digital and traditional media. Senior-level portfolio showing polished, commercial-quality design work, including cohesive brand systems and scalable design frameworks. Comfortable switching between high-level creative concept development and production work as required. Strong conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and creative problem-solving skills. Senior-level typography, layout, and visual hierarchy; strong colour and composition fundamentals. Confident communicator who can present, defend, and iterate creative with clients and internal stakeholders. Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate vendors/partners to deliver high-quality work under deadline. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Acrobat; others as needed). Familiarity with print design and layout. Digital design experience, including web design and HTML5 ad creation. Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of relevant design experience. Preferred Skills Experience designing and maintaining websites built with WordPress & Elementor. Video production experience across planning, shooting, editing, and delivery for social and web. Motion graphics experience (After Effects), including short-form social animations and campaign assets. Working from our Edmonton office and reporting to the Executive Director, Public Affairs, the successful candidate will work closely with all CSG staff to create compelling visuals that enhance the brands of CSG and our clients.
