We are currently looking for a Senior Compensation Consultant to step into a pivotal role where you will support compensation and help shape the future of how we reward, motivate, and lead. This is both a strategic and a hands-on rolemeaning you will not only contribute to the overall compensation strategy but will also roll up your sleeves to execute, operationalize, and refine the work. Own the full spectrum of compensation responsibilitiesfrom conducting individual compensation reviews to managing and advancing organizationwide compensation programs across the complexity of multiple jurisdictions. Ensure all deadlines are met, communications are clear and timely, and boardlevel deliverables are understood, accurately prepared, and executed with precision. In this role, you will serve as the organizations trusted advisor and go-to compensation expert by building and owning all compensation programs. You will provide strategic direction, recommendations, and leadership on compensation design, job evaluation, and compliance while directly managing the tactical components required to bring that strategy to life. Compensation Strategy & Program Leadership Design, implement, and manage scalable base pay, incentive, and variable compensation programs that align with organizational strategy Refine and maintain compensation frameworks, including salary structures, pay grades, and guidelines for pay progression and promotional increases. Build compensation models, tools, documentation, and educational resources to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Compliance, Governance & Pay Equity Ensure compensation programs comply with all jurisdictional regulatory requirements, including pay transparency laws, pay equity mandates, minimum wage standards, and overtime rules. Monitor, interpret, and communicate legislative and regulatory changes affecting compensation practices Market Analysis & Benchmarking Participate in and analyze compensation and salary surveys to maintain current and accurate market intelligence. Lead the annual pay range benchmarking and market review process, ensuring consistent application across departments and geographies. Regularly evaluate the effectiveness, competitiveness, and equity of compensation programs Job Evaluation & Internal Equity Review job descriptions and evaluate roles to determine appropriate leveling, grading, and compensation alignment. Create, maintain, and audit a comprehensive job description database. Qualifications 8-12+ years of experience in compensation consultancy or a related HR analytical field. Postsecondary education in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field; HR certification or designation (e.g., CPHR) preferred. Strong understanding of compensation principles, job evaluation, and market pricing methodologies. Expertise doing incentive program design (shortterm and longterm incentives) Strong clientfacing approach (internal or external) with exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to executives Executivelevel presentation skills Change management expertise Project Leadership Leading crossfunctional compensation projects Annual compensation cycle planning and execution Job evaluation and leveling initiatives Proficiency in conducting, analyzing, and interpreting compensation surveys. Ability to interpret market data, job documentation, and legislative requirements. Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills. Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, modeling). Solution-oriented thinker with sound judgment and decision-making abilities. Outstanding attention to detail, organization, and documentation discipline.
