Were looking for a Manager, People Operations to join our People & Culture team at INNOCEAN Canada! This is a hands-on Manager role at the centre of our People & Culture team. Youll work closely with our VP of People & Culture to bring our people programs to life, manage the day-to-day of our operations, and make sure the systems, processes, and culture that support our people are always running at their best. Youll also mentor and guide our People Operations Specialist, together you two are the engine that keeps everything humming. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, you are the operational and cultural heartbeat of the People team. Youre the person who turns good intentions into working programs, keeps our platforms running smoothly, and makes sure our people feel as supported on day 1,000 as they did on day one. You balance warmth and efficiency, strategy and execution and you love doing it. Youll manage our People Operations Specialist, and together youll own the full spectrum of people operations. Youll also collaborate closely with the VP on culture, engagement, and manager-facing programs and with General Affairs and the social team to bring our in-person culture moments to life. What your typical day will look like Own and administer our core people platforms BambooHR, ADP, and our Teams People Channel keeping data clean, processes tight, and employees well-supported Together with your People Operations Specialist, oversee benefits administration, payroll processing, HRIS data integrity, HR reporting Front line manager on our policies and health & safety compliance Partner with the VP to design and deliver employee listening and engagement programs including surveys, pulse checks, and recognition initiatives and translate results into action Support and facilitate goal-setting and performance management cycles coordinating timelines, guiding managers through the process, and keeping everything on track Collaborate with the VP to support our Manager Development program, from coordinating training sessions to building out resources that help our managers lead well Manage the People Operations Specialist day-to-day providing direction, support, and development as they own their areas of work Champion continuous improvement across our people processes, always looking for ways to make the employee experience smoother and more meaningful Work with General Affairs and the social team to co-create and execute cultural events and moments that bring our values to life in the workplace Take on special projects as assigned by the VP from research and benchmarking to program builds and one-off initiatives The Knowledge and Experience you bring 5+ years of progressive experience in People & Culture, HR, or People Operations Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; CHRP or CHRL is an asset Hands-on experience with BambooHR and ADP (Workforce Now preferred); comfort owning and troubleshooting HRIS platforms Solid knowledge of benefits administration, HR policies, and employment standards in Ontario Experience supporting or running performance management and engagement programs Experience managing or mentoring others you know how to support someones growth while keeping deliverables on track Bilingualism is an asset, proudly tell us what languages you bring!
