Join our team The Corporate Affairs unit of Elections Ontario is seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent research, communication, and organizational skills for the position of Policy & Corporate Affairs Coordinator. In this position, you will be part of a diverse team of professionals in policy development, strategic analysis, corporate planning, stakeholder relations, and protocol services. This role will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the policy development process, drafting briefing notes, coordinating projects, and fostering positive relationships with Elections Ontarios internal and external stakeholders. What to expect in this role Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Affairs, you will: Write briefing notes, reports, presentations, correspondence, and other materials. Research and synthesize information to inform policy development and other work undertaken by the Corporate Affairs unit. Coordinate projects and maintain a detailed electronic tracking system for key strategic projects and deliverables. Plan and implement an annual event for external stakeholders. Communicate and maintain effective relationships, including responding to enquiries from political parties and other stakeholders. Monitoring several Outlook inboxes affiliated with the Corporate Affairs unit, including the Party Support Network inbox. Working with the Corporate Affairs team to support parties through the Party Support Network during an electoral event. What you need to qualify Research and Policy: Strong research and analytical skills with experience gathering information from a variety of sources using a wide range of research techniques and practices. Knowledge of policy development approaches. Communication: Highly developed written communication skills with a strong attention to detail and experience drafting briefing notes and reports. Project Coordination: Superior organizational skills and experience in coordinating projects of varying size and complexity. Stakeholder Relations: Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a customer focused approach and a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners. Understanding of Elections Ontario programs, policies, and legislative framework. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. This position requires in-office presence five (5) days per week.
