We have implemented a Total Rewards package that includes employer-paid comprehensive extended health and dental coverage, a health spending account, RSP matching, and career development opportunities.THE OPPORTUNITY:Reporting to the Director Operations, the Manager Geology, Environment & Land is responsible for the oversight and execution of the environmental and exploration programming for current and future project areas.The Manager will lead the execution of exploration initiatives and remediation projects, as it aligns with strategic business priorities.In addition, the successful hire will provide their expertise in regulatory guidance, land acquisition, and stakeholder engagement to achieve business results.With a strong Geology or Environment technical background, the Manager will work with Senior Leadership to develop and align operations with compliance to support ongoing growth of the company.This position demands strong communication and relationship building skills to build functional rapport with landowners, municipalities, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to achieve results for the business.RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Environmental & Geological LeadershipDevelop and oversee environmental strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory expectationsLead complex remediation and reclamation initiatives, providing senior-level guidance on environmental risk, compliance, and long-term planningApprove and guide development of environmental work plans, impact assessments, and monitoring programs; ensure organizational readiness for audits, inspections, and regulatory submissionsSupport the Senior Geologist on managing the geology and exploration program, including optimizing exploration planning, reserve building and upcoming drilling and sand testing prioritiesOversee the data collection and interpretation from geological mapping, drilling, and mine plan analysis to ensure QA/QC standards are metSupport organizational planning by contributing to annual budgets, staffing forecasts, and resource allocation strategiesStakeholder Engagement & Organizational RepresentationServe as the senior point of contact for regulatory agenciesPresent findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to senior leadership and external partnersLead projects of medium to high complexity, overseeing scope, budget, schedule, and qualityOversee contractor performance, and manage consultant relationships to ensure deliverables are achieved in a timely mannerLand & Resource Management LeadershipSupport on the acquisition, evaluation, and management of land and aggregate resources to support long-term operational needsOversee permitting strategies, ensuring timely submissions and strong relationships with regulatorsAlongside senior leaders, serve as a representative of the organization in discussions with municipalities, provincial regulators, First Nations, and landownersEnsure compliance with environmental, zoning, reclamation, and land use requirements across all propertiesQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEA Bachelors degree in Geology, Environmental or Earth Science or equivalent. A masters degree or professional designation in a related field would be preferredMinimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role is required, direct experience in the aggregate industry is strongly preferred; must possess experience managing internal and external stakeholdersCandidates with a combination of proven expertise in Environmental Compliance, Geology, and Land Management will be prioritizedIn-depth knowledge of environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001)Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to Safety, quality, health, environmental stewardship, and sustainable developmentStrong interpersonal skills are required for collaboration, managing stakeholder expectations, negotiating land and permitting matters, and representing the organization in external discussions
