Location: Main work location is Brampton. Mentorship, professional development, and a supportive environment make this role ideal for a safety leader ready to make a tangible difference.Your ResponsibilitiesYoull serve as the SME for Occupational Health & Safety, providing guidance across the organization.Youll set short- and long-term OHS goals and strategic direction, driving continuous improvement year over year.Youll communicate objectives to stakeholders, aligning regulatory requirements with business operations.Youll lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of OHS programs, policies, and processes.Youll support Supply Chain transformation initiatives, helping transition manual processes to automated solutions while addressing safety implications.Youll lead major incident investigations and provide ongoing operational support to teams.Youll act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and represent the company in industry forums.Youll drive continuous improvement initiatives using OHS management systems, including Intelex software.Skills and QualificationsUniversity degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related fieldCanadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation is a must have610 years of total Health & Safety experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of provincial and federal OH&S legislationExperience in distribution, manufacturing, retail or similar industriesAbility to communicate effectively with business leaders and stakeholders, build credibility, and influence changeExperience developing, implementing, and sustaining OHS programs and management systemsFlexible, action-oriented, and driven to succeed, with consistent and respectful leadership approachStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skillsExperience with Intelex software (or similar safety management platforms) is an assetAbility to be on-call for emergencies and critical incidentsOwn vehicle and valid driver's license requiredNote from the Hiring ManagerWere looking for a leader who can act as the SME for OHS, translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions, and influence a strong safety culture across the organization.About Canadian Tire CorporationCanadian Tire Corporation, Limited (CTC) is one of Canadas most trusted companies, with 90+ Owned Brands, 1,700 retail locations, and leading e-commerce and financial services.
