Job Description

The Senior Localization Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of localization projects, ensuring high-quality multilingual deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role serves as a key liaison between linguists, studio production teams, localization engineering resources, and other stakeholders, providing strategic oversight as well as hands-on project execution.*Please note that this a contract role*JOB DUTIESProject Oversight & DeliveryProvide full oversight of individual localization projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and client or stakeholder expectationsManage project scope, risks, dependencies, and change requests across multiple concurrent localization initiativesEnsure localization workflows align with established processes and best practicesStakeholder & CrossFunctional CollaborationAct as the primary liaison with Studio Project Managers to align on overall production schedules, milestones, and delivery timelinesCollaborate closely with localization engineering to define technical requirements, resolve workflow issues, and support tool or pipeline needsCommunicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly to internal teams and external partnersLinguist Management & LiaisonServe as the main point of contact for linguists, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring clear communication of project requirementsCoordinate linguist onboarding, task assignments, and performance feedback as neededAddress linguist queries, escalations, and quality concerns in a timely and professional mannerEstimating & PlanningPrepare accurate localization project estimates, including word counts, resource needs, schedules, and costsSupport Program Manager with forecasting and capacity planning by providing input on timelines and resourcing requirementsPartner with stakeholders to balance quality, cost, and delivery expectationsFinancial & Payment OversightManage linguist payments, ensuring accuracy, compliance with agreed rates, and timely processingTrack project costs against estimates and flag variances or risks as neededSupport financial reconciliation and reporting related to localization activities
