Heavy Equipment Technician / Field Service Main Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for diagnosing, maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, such as drill rigs, grouting equipment, loaders, air compressors, excavators, and more. Execute inspections and tests to ensure proper performance of machinery. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures of heavy-duty equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electronic controls, and electrical components. Use and interpret technical manuals, specifications, and similar guides to make repairs and modifications according to manufacturer instructions and proper procedures. Travel to geothermal installation sites for servicing and minor repair. Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather 12 months a year. Must be going to the shop daily to pick up the service truck (100% in person based in Caledonia). Qualifications: Strong experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting heavy machinery. Completion of the 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician - Journeyperson (Red Seal). Minimum 2 years of practical, hands-on work with heavy equipment service and repair. Valid G-class drivers license with a clean driving record. Ability to reliably commute or relocate before starting work. Work Schedule: Day Shift, Monday to Friday - 7:30am - 5:00pm There are a lot of opportunities for overtime.
