Responsibilities: Act as a trusted advisor by engaging with clients to understand their business objectives, operational challenges, and infrastructure needs. Lead terminal capacity analyses, site selection studies, de-bottlenecking initiatives, and high-level concept development to drive strategic improvements. Oversee the design, optimization, and maintenance of bulk material handling systemsincluding conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, chutes, shiploaders, and marine infrastructure. Conduct site visits to gather field data, inspect conditions, respond to urgent requests, and recommend practical solutions to technical or operational issues. Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets while coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for system improvements, review engineering deliverables, and ensure technical solutions meet quality, performance, and sustainability benchmarks. Qualifications: Registered as a P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) or eligible for registration. 1015 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a strong focus on bulk material handling systems and infrastructure . Proven success in engaging clients, understanding operational needs, and delivering tailored, value-driven solutions. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage project budgets, and deliver projects on time and within scope. Deep knowledge of materials handling system design and optimization, with hands-on experience in system performance improvement. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise proposals and present ideas effectively to stakeholders.
