AssessMed has a large network of experienced medical professionals that provide credible and defensible medical evaluations for all types of claims. Reports are developed using the best evidence and current medical best practices. Evaluations are often focused on the evaluees ability to return to work or perform daily living activities.AssessMed is an IME service provider, not a rehabilitation or treatment provider. Evaluations will recommend treatment options, butas an unbiased providerwe will not recommend specific facilities, clinics, or doctors.Main Responsibilities:Review and evaluate medical assessment reports to ensure continuity, consistency, accuracy, spelling, grammar and compliance with current regulations.Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on medical documentation, including medical histories, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans.Identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in medical assessment reports and provide timely feedback to assessors for correction.Collaborate with assessors, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.Provide support to assessors on quality assurance procedures and documentation requirements.Ensure reports are sent to the client on time.Ensure the timely follow-up and tracking of QA statuses and reports.Follow QA protocols for releasing and saving reports.Offer exceptional customer service when responding to client queries.Identify issues that will impact on service standards and rectify or escalate those issues.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsA regulated health professional with at least 3 years' experience either as a Kinesiologist, Physiotherapist or Nurse OR prior experience in insurance or IME QA including an understanding of CAT.AMA Guides training or C-CAT certification is an asset1-2 years work experience in medical clinic, hospital or insurance officeAction-oriented, highly organized, results-oriented, independent problem solver with demonstrated clinical, medical legal assessment and/or adjudication experienceDetailed familiarity with the current and prior auto insurance legislation, arbitration and associated legal decisions.Solid command of the English language and demonstrated excellent communication skillsHas working knowledge of MS Word and Excel and the ability to learn and navigate new systemsMust be able to assume responsibility for job duties and work independently as well as team-orientated.Exceptional organizational and time management skills.Why choose AssessMed?Comprehensive and flexible health and dental choices with Flex benefitsLifemark Employee Assistance ProgramShoppers Drug Mart Employee Discount (30%)Employee Stock Purchase Plan (25%)Paid vacation and Wellness daysAnnual continuing education allowance of $1500 (applicable towards credential or designation fee)Goodlife Fitness Corporate Discount Gym MembershipOngoing internal training and development with opportunities for mentorshipA diverse and inclusive workplace with a track record of high employee engagement and teamworkNationally recognized brand with a strong digital presenceThank you for your interest in joining our team!
