Candidate Profile Reporting to the Regional Marketing Leader, the Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role within the Alberta Marketing team. The Specialist is responsible for leading strategic proposals and supporting broader regional marketing initiatives. Success in this role requires strong writing and organizational skills, with close collaboration alongside technical teams and external subconsultant partners to develop content for highimpact proposals and marketing collateral. The Specialist oversees the full proposal lifecycle from Go/NoGo to production and final submission, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards, branding, and deadlines. Additional responsibilities include researching and screening relevant RFP opportunities, coordinating client outreach efforts, participating in debriefs, and continuously enhancing proposal quality and processes to improve overall win rates. Key Responsibilities Lead the pursuit cycle, including strategy, coordination, and production of proposals, ensuring compliance, brand alignment, accuracy, and ontime delivery. Write, edit, and organize proposal content in collaboration with technical teams, including layout, graphics, and final formatting. Research and identify relevant RFP opportunities, supporting proactive business development efforts. Create and maintain marketing collateral such as project writeups, resumes, and promotional materials. Support photography needs and coordinate visual assets for proposals and marketing use. Maintain and update CRM and project databases; assist with business development activities and client event planning. Ensure all materials reflect branding standards and uphold high visual and messaging quality. Business Acumen Deliver exceptional client service with professionalism in all interactions. Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in highstakes, timesensitive deliverables. Work closely with technical teams to incorporate strategic project insights into compelling marketing content. Leadership Support peer review processes and workload planning in partnership with the Regional Marketing Leader. Foster a positive, collaborative team environment focused on service excellence and client value. Demonstrate strong organizational, multitasking, time management, and project management capabilities. Support efforts that promote team engagement and a positive organizational culture. Engage in networking, internal learning opportunities, and DEI initiatives to broaden industry and firm knowledge. Professional Qualifications & Experience Diploma or Degree in Business Administration/Commerce, Marketing, or Communications 7+ years of progressive marketing experience in the AEC or professional services industry Deliver exceptional client service while maintaining professionalism in all interactions. Advanced proposal writing, editing, and content development skills. An interest in design, architecture, and/or the development industry Strong proficiency in content management, information architecture, and production workflows. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe InDesign, CRM systems, and OpenAsset Exceptional time management and ability to manage competing priorities. High attention to detail and accuracy for timesensitive, highimpact deliverables. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
