Adecco is currently hiring an IT Project Controls Analyst (IT Portfolio) for a 12-month contract position in Calgary, AB. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented finance or project controls professional with experience supporting IT portfolios, budgeting, and financial governance within a corporate environment. In this role, you will work closely with IT Project Managers to manage project budgeting, forecasting, resourcing, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) tracking throughout the lifecycle of IT initiatives. As an IT Project Controls Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting financial governance, cost management, and reporting for IT projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project financials remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards while supporting tools such as SAP, ServiceNow, and other corporate systems. Location: Calgary, AB Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day Contract: Full-time | Temporary 12-month contract (target start date April 13) Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy. Responsibilities: Execute financial governance processes and report monthly, annual, and departmental IT project budgeting and forecasting, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and tracking incurred costs and accruals. Support project controls processes including maintaining and updating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with onboarding and offboarding project resources and manage contractor resources in FieldGlass including time entry management. Manage cost plans and project updates within ServiceNow. Validate and review timesheets for approval. Report on project delivery resource allocations and estimates. Ensure compliance with project governance deliverables such as Project Charters, Change Requests, Decision Records, Total Cost of Ownership documentation, and Project Closure activities. Support the project change management process by preparing Change Requests, gathering project information, and assisting project managers with schedule and budget impact analysis. Enter Salesforce VRM requests for project-related purchases and coordinate with the Vendor Management Office for contracts and purchase orders. Provide financial support to project managers for long-range planning (LRP) budgeting and ongoing project financial planning. Review, verify, and process project-related transactions through systems such as Salesforce VRM, SAP, OpenInvoice, and other applicable tools. Provide financial input for Project Approval Requests (PARs) for initiatives exceeding $1M Total Implementation Cost. Assist with SharePoint site creation and project documentation management including document approvals, logs, lists, and Teams channels. Monitor project schedules and identify variances against established milestones. Collect, review, and publish project status reporting under the guidance of project managers. Assist with document approval processes and ensure artifacts are stored appropriately while creating approval requests in ServiceNow and following up as needed. Track Project Statements of Work (PSOW) and monitor goods received for hardware and software purchases. Provide guidance to third-party vendors on invoicing processes including account setup in OpenInvoice, invoice coding, validation, and payment tracking while coordinating with the Vendor Management Office. Requirements: Minimum 35 years of experience in a budgeting, accounting, or financial controls role using ERP financial systems. Minimum 35 years of experience working within an IT department or supporting IT projects. Experience working with corporate systems such as SAP, ServiceNow, Excel, and Power BI. Strong financial acumen and experience supporting project budgeting and forecasting. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple organizational levels. Strong analytical, evaluation, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail. Professional discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
