The Senior Localization Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of localization projects, ensuring high-quality multilingual deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role serves as a key liaison between linguists, studio production teams, localization engineering resources, and other stakeholders, providing strategic oversight as well as hands-on project execution. Please note that this a contract role JOB DUTIES Project Oversight & Delivery Provide full oversight of individual localization projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and client or stakeholder expectations Manage project scope, risks, dependencies, and change requests across multiple concurrent localization initiatives Ensure localization workflows align with established processes and best practices Stakeholder & CrossFunctional Collaboration Act as the primary liaison with Studio Project Managers to align on overall production schedules, milestones, and delivery timelines Collaborate closely with localization engineering to define technical requirements, resolve workflow issues, and support tool or pipeline needs Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly to internal teams and external partners Linguist Management & Liaison Serve as the main point of contact for linguists, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring clear communication of project requirements Coordinate linguist onboarding, task assignments, and performance feedback as needed Address linguist queries, escalations, and quality concerns in a timely and professional manner Estimating & Planning Prepare accurate localization project estimates, including word counts, resource needs, schedules, and costs Support Program Manager with forecasting and capacity planning by providing input on timelines and resourcing requirements Partner with stakeholders to balance quality, cost, and delivery expectations Financial & Payment Oversight Manage linguist payments, ensuring accuracy, compliance with agreed rates, and timely processing Track project costs against estimates and flag variances or risks as needed Support financial reconciliation and reporting related to localization activities
