Infrastructure Specialist About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Technology Specialist to serve as a Senior Technical Authority for our enterprise application platforms. Key Responsibilities: SME Leadership: Act as the 3rd-level (Tier 3) point of escalation for complex application, server, and infrastructure issues, ensuring maximum availability and stability. Infrastructure Management: oversee the day-to-day operation of application and integration infrastructure, specifically focusing on IBM technologies (WebSphere, BAW, ODM) and Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Azure). Cloud & Integration: Support and operate hybrid infrastructure and application integrations within Microsoft Azure. Continuous Improvement: Research and evaluate new tools/technologies to enhance departmental efficiency. Review and improve logging, monitoring, and error-tracking practices. Mentorship: Provide detailed technical advice to leadership and mentor technical team members to ensure rigorous adherence to policies and standards. The Ideal Candidate Brings: Experience: 10+ years of practical, hands-on experience supported by formal education in IT or Computer Science. IBM Expertise: Deep knowledge of IBM enterprise technologies, including WebSphere Application Server , IBM MQ , and related middleware platforms. Microsoft Mastery: Extensive experience with Windows Server administration and Wintel technology standards. Cloud Proficiency: Proven experience supporting Microsoft Azure (hybrid infrastructure and app integration) and Microsoft DevOps tools. Third-Party Integrations: Experience with products such as OpenText Content Server , Archive Server, RightFax, and MS BizTalk . Problem Solving: A proven track record of diagnosing root causes for complex server/app issues and configuring fast, secure, reliable infrastructure.
