About Us We are a fast-growing commercial furniture manufacturer specializing in innovative, high-quality workplace solutions. Our team blends design, engineering, and manufacturing to bring modern, functional office furniture to life. Were looking for a detail-oriented Drafter who can transform CAD models into clear, user-friendly assembly instructions that our customers and installers can rely on. Role Overview As our Drafter, you will play a vital role in supporting engineering and product development. You will create 2D/3D exploded views, step-by-step assembly guides, hardware callouts, and detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks. Your work will help ensure flawless installations and enhance the customer experience. Key Responsibilities Develop high-quality assembly instruction documents for office furniture products (workstations, tables, seating, storage, etc.). Create exploded views and hardware identification diagrams using SolidWorks. Collaborate with engineering, production, and product development to ensure accuracy. Ensure instructions meet internal standards for clarity, consistency, and branding. Participate in continual improvement of instructional formats and processes. Qualifications 2+ years of drafting or technical illustration experience (manufacturing or furniture industry an asset). Proficient in SolidWorks, including configurations, assemblies, and drawing tools. Experience with creating assembly instructions or technical documentation. Strong understanding of hardware, fasteners, and mechanical components. Ability to interpret engineering models and translate them into easy-to-follow steps. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments. Bonus: Experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or similar tools for layout.
