About this role: MSL 6 month CONTRACT May - November In this position the Medical Science Liaison - Oncology, will facilitate and develop relationships with the medical and scientific community by communicating product related information to investigators and institutions. The role provides information on research developments and new concepts in medical treatment while offering scientific perspective to field activities associated with growing existing products and supporting the introduction of new therapies. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with clinical investigators and key institutions relevant to the appropriate use of products Communicate scientific and clinical information to healthcare professionals and investigators Support medical education initiatives including presentations to healthcare professionals and formulary committees when appropriate Identify medical community training and educational needs related to product introduction and collaborate with internal teams to ensure appropriate education is provided Facilitate participation in clinical trials programs Increase organizational visibility with current and emerging industry leaders Identify clinical research opportunities consistent with organizational objectives Serve as a key contact for investigators initiating investigator initiated trials Provide investigators with technical support for study development Identify and communicate key clinical and research insights from external experts to internal teams to support research, development and strategic planning Maintain scientific and clinical expertise through continuous education including conferences, scientific workshops and review of relevant journals Requirements A registered nurse license, a bachelors degree in science or biology, a PharmD or PhD degree or equivalent experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare education environment is required, masters degree is preferred This is a field based role Ability to travel domestically and internationally frequently including some weekend travel. Travel may include time at cancer trial sites, institutions, conferences, offices and hotels Five years of overall experience with a minimum of three years in oncology Strong clinical development experience preferably across multiple phases of clinical development Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes and national regulatory requirements Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement systems Understanding of hospital formulary and healthcare provider decision making processes Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors and pharmacy directors Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and quality Excellent writing and presentation abilities Ability to learn complex information and communicate key insights clearly to team members Ability to prioritize deliverables and recognize conflicts in priorities Positive attitude, flexibility and proactive mindset Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical information and data Strong English communication skills both verbal and written The individual in this role may be required to perform additional duties as assigned. Position: 6 Month Contract Annualized Salary Range: $134,000 to $158,000 (prorated over 6 months) Travel: Approximately 35 to 50 percent travel required Benefits will be communicated separately
