What Youll Do Overall Responsibilities Reporting to the Manager, Media, Global Marketing, the Media Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness, alignment, and governance of Jamieson Wellness paid media investments across Jamieson Vitamins, Youtheory (Canada), Progressive, Iron Vegan and Smart Solutions. With external partners leading day-to-day media buying and execution, this role focuses on agency oversight, financial coordination, performance analysis, competitive intelligence and cross-functional alignment. The Media Specialist ensures that media investments are strategically aligned, financially controlled and delivering against business objectives across all brands. This role partners closely with Brand, Digital, Finance and external media agencies to ensure excellence in planning, pacing, reporting and optimization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong project management and timeline coordination capabilities. They bring an analytical mindset, adaptability and a proactive approach to identifying optimization opportunities and emerging media trends. This individual thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrating strong communication skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams and agency partners. They are comfortable interpreting performance data, translating insights into clear recommendations and independently managing responsibilities within a fast-paced marketing organization. Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties Agency Liaison & Media Oversight Review and validate media plans to ensure alignment with brand objectives, KPIs and growth targets Monitor agency performance reports and proactively identify optimization opportunities Provide structured performance summaries and key takeaways to Brand and Digital teams Support internal media education sessions and stakeholder alignment Ensure alignment between agency strategy and internal brand priorities Budget Governance & Financial Coordination Manage the Budget Control Report (BCR), including monthly invoice matching, entries, and reconciliation for all brands (Jamieson Vitamins, Youtheory, Progressive, Iron Vegan, Smart Solutions) Lead invoice processing, validation and coordination with agencies and Finance Monitor spend pacing and flag risks of over/under-spend Resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner TV Optimization, Execution & Post Reporting Support finalization of TV schedules and flighting strategies Manage makegoods and ensure schedule compliance (monthly) Monitor campaign pacing to prevent overspend Deliver detailed TV post-campaign reports, highlighting performance metrics, investment efficiency and key learnings Reporting, Analysis & Competitive Intelligence Provide weekly/bi-weekly performance reporting with actionable insights Conduct deeper competitive analysis on priority competitors Generate monthly and annual competitive summaries across Digital and TV, including category-level analysis and key competitive shifts Identify and deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations Consolidate cross-channel performance insights to support holistic media decision-making Research & Market Analysis Explore and evaluate new media opportunities to support brand and campaign objectives Extract and analyze data from Vividata, Numeris (Lens/Nlogic), and CMR to inform planning and presentations Conduct audience, market trend and competitor research to inform media planning effectiveness Prepare and present media updates and insights to Digital and Brand marketing teams Paid Social Support (Ad-Hoc) Provide hands-on expertise for Meta and TikTok campaigns when required Support campaign setup, optimization and performance tracking Ensure alignment between paid social initiatives and broader media strategy What You Bring Youre a mix of curious, collaborative, and purpose-driven. Your experience and perspective might include: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field 35 years of experience in media planning, buying, or agency environments Experience working across traditional (TV) and digital media channels Strong understanding of media performance metrics, KPIs and optimization levers Experience with media research tools such as Vividata, Numeris (Lens/Nlogic), and CMR Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insights Financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, reconciling invoices and monitoring spend pacing Experience supporting annual planning, scenario modeling, or AOP processes Working knowledge of paid social platforms (Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, etc.), including campaign setup, optimization and performance tracking Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to build structured reporting and presentations Strong project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail Ability to work cross-functionally and build collaborative relationships with Brand, Digital, Finance and agency partners Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proactive mindset with a bias toward continuous improvement Note: If you dont meet every requirement listed here, we still encourage you to apply. Compensation Jamieson Wellness Inc. offers a competitive total rewards package that goes beyond base pay, including eligibility for our Short-Term Incentive Program and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and professional growth. For this role, the posting range is $53,690 $92,040, which reflects the full salary range of the position. The actual salary offered will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, level of education, and other professional qualifications aligned with the requirements and complexity of this position.
