Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planner/Scheduler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules and ensuring optimal utilization of resources. This role is critical in aligning production plans with demand forecasts to meet customer requirements efficiently. The Planner/Scheduler will utilize advanced ERP systems and demand planning tools to streamline operations and support continuous improvement initiatives within a lean manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules aligned with customer demand and inventory levels. Collaborate with team members to get scheduled jobs done on time. Utilize ERP system to plan and execute production activities. Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and capacity constraints to optimize scheduling efficiency. Analyze demand forecasts and adjust schedules accordingly to meet changing priorities. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements in scheduling workflows. Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure seamless flow of materials and information. Track key performance indicators related to scheduling accuracy, production efficiency, and inventory management. Prepare reports on production schedules, material requirements, and capacity utilization for management review. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing planning or scheduling roles within a supply chain environment. Strong proficiency in ERP systems. Knowledge of demand planning, MRP processes, and lean manufacturing principles. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and presenting data insights. Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
