Job Summary: Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the Customer Service Representative / OS&D administrator provides the essential front-line service to customers and enters information into a central database to be used in tracking and tracing shipments. Term 14 month contract, maternity leave coverage Shift Monday to Friday; 07:00am-3:30pm Location 2170 Matrix Crescent, Kelowna BC V1V 0C1 Key Responsibilities Support customers and manage shipment issues Enter pick up requests into local dispatch system Use AS400/LTL400 software to track/trace shipments Resolve OS&D (Over, Short, and Damaged) freight claims Help maintain a neat work environment which may include tidying up the lunch room occasionally Work with Dispatchers and Drivers to confirm delivery and pick up Qualifications Maintain professional Customer Service oriented personality in all customer interactions Strong communications skills, both verbal and written Work well in a fast-paced team environment Strict attention to details Problem solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word Transportation experience preferred but will train the right candidate Compensation & Benefits Starting wage: $22.00/hour Comprehensive benefits package available including pension matching program upon successful completion of probationary period To apply Please email your resume to: with email title TempCustomer Service Rep - Kelowna Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to reference and/or criminal background checks prior to employment.
