Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Police Officer in Wikwemikong, Ontario. The Police Officer will perform law enforcement duties, ensure public safety, and engage with the community through a culturally sensitive approach. Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, conducting criminal investigations, collecting and handling evidence, enforcing local and regional laws, and maintaining peace within the community. This role focuses on upholding justice while fostering community trust and wellbeing. Qualifications Knowledge of Law Enforcement practices and procedures Experience in conducting Criminal Investigations Skills in managing and analyzing Evidence Proficiency in Police operations and community-based policing strategies Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups Understanding of restorative justice principles and First Nations culture is highly desirable Valid drivers license and a clean driving record Successful completion of police training or certification from an accredited institution Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to unique community policing needs #J-18808-Ljbffr
