UPS is currently looking for Part-time Package Pre-loaders to work from our Nanaimo Package Facility. Position Type: Permanent Part-time Work Hours: 4:00AM 9:00AM (Monday to Friday) Location: Madsen Rd, Nanaimo BC Preloaders are responsible for unloading and loading packages off and on trailers, air canisters and other vehicles early in the morning. Lifting, lowering, and moving of packages weighing between 10 to 70lbs Scanning and sorting packages based on postal codes, addresses, package dimensions Understanding and recognizing postal codes, routing charts and maps Standing closely with conveyor, roller belts and other equipment in the warehouse Working in a team environment to ensure efficient transfer of packages Qualifications: Available to work Monday to Friday Ability to follow set of safety and standard procedures Good organizational and multi-tasking skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment Able to regularly and safely lift packages between 10lbs up to 70lbs unassisted Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment Warehouse experience is considered an asset but not required What we offer: Training provided for all positions Weekly pay starting rate of $18.50/hour Tuition Reimbursement Program: up to $2,000/semester Guaranteed wage progression Extended benefits package Career advancement opportunities Employee discounts available online through UPSers Ability to lift packages between 1070 lbs unassisted, availability Monday to Friday early mornings, ability to follow safety procedures, warehouse experience an asset #J-18808-Ljbffr
