Your New Company A wellestablished organization in the real estate and property management sector is seeking a Payroll Manager/Supervisor to support its payroll function during a period of transition. This is an excellent shortterm opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who is confident running endtoend payroll in a highvolume, multijurisdictional environment and can step in immediately. Your New Role As the Payroll Manager/Supervisor, you will take ownership of the full payroll cycle for both unionized and nonunionized employees across Ontario. You will ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time while supporting related compliance, reporting, and reconciliation activities. You will also act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries and collaborate closely with HR and Finance. Key Responsibilities Manage fullcycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including biweekly and semimonthly runs Process wages, overtime, commissions, statutory deductions, and offcycle payments Ensure accuracy and compliance with Canadian federal and provincial payroll legislation Oversee payrollrelated general ledger reconciliations Manage benefits and union remittances, labour reporting, and payroll tax filings Support yearend activities including T4s and annual government submissions Maintain auditready payroll documentation Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and collaborate with HR/Finance to resolve issues Optimize Dayforce system functionality and support continuous process improvements Prepare regular and adhoc payroll reports Support payroll budgeting and forecasting as needed What Youll Need to Succeed Minimum 5 years of progressive payroll experience in a highvolume, multijurisdictional environment Strong experience with Dayforce (must have) Experience with Yardi (nice to have) and Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) Knowledge of unionized payroll environments and related remittances Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and compliance Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills High attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach Ability to work onsite 4 days per week and support occasional overtime PCP certification preferred; CPM considered an asset What Youll Get in Return Competitive hourly rate ($40$45/hr) Opportunity to support a respected and growing organization Hybrid schedule with consistent weekday hours Chance to take full ownership of a payroll function and work closely with senior leaders Supportive and collaborative environment What You Need to Do Now If youre interested in this role, click apply now to submit your updated resume, or contact us directly.
