What Youll Do: The Commercial Analyst plays a critical role in driving commercial execution, managing contract workflows, approval routing, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. This position will work closely with Business Development, Finance and Legal to help drive operational discipline, support the development and implementation of business processes and provide commercial support throughout the organization. Through ongoing market and competitor analysis, this person will provide insights and analysis required for BD strategy and support opportunity prioritization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment and wants to influence business performance. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Cross-Functional Support & Operational Alignment Support in the execution of multi-team approvals and engagement as required throughout the sales cycle (proposal and contract approvals, compliance, and financial accuracy). Support teams in preparing materials for executive reviews, other routine sales pipeline reporting, and client negotiations as required. Maintain internal documentation, playbooks, and process maps to ensure consistency in contract handling and invoicing workflows. Assist in building scalable processes that improve BD efficiency, reduce administrative bottlenecks, and strengthen governance. Contract Execution & Documentation Management Coordinate end-to-end contract execution, ensuring all paperwork is complete, accurate, and approved in accordance with internal policies. Maintain version control, track contractual updates/revisions, and ensure timely routing through Legal and executive approvers. Responsible for the development of contract summaries for required teams through documents and CRM updates. Ensure contract data is properly organized and accessible within internal systems (CRM, document repositories, etc.). Responsible for vendor registration and updates. Invoicing, Financial Balancing & Reconciliation Support Operations and Finance with invoicing based on contractual terms, delivery schedules, KPIs and meterage/usage data. Responsible for tracking and updating master sheet on invoicing specifics per contract. Responsible for preparing data summaries as required which include data storage costs, subscription charges, etc. for invoice preparation. Reconcile billing discrepancies by coordinating with Finance, BD, and Operations to resolve issues quickly and accurately. Track and report PO consumption to BD and Operations to ensure continuous operations through timely extensions. Market, Competitor & Industry Analysis Conduct ongoing research on market trends, exploration/mining activity, budget cycles, and regional economics to support BD strategy. Summarize insights into monthly or quarterly BD briefings that inform strategic planning and resource allocation Support BD in maintaining a structured competitor landscape, tracking product offerings, pricing models, partnerships, and technology differentiation. Support BD leadership with insights on market share, win/loss drivers, and competitive threats/opportunities. Reporting & Analytics Support with cross departmental standardized reports for pipeline health, contract status, invoicing accuracy, and competitive trends via CRM. Provide ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making for pricing, product bundling, renewals, and growth strategies. Process Improvement & Risk Management Identify inefficiencies or gaps in contract execution, approval routing, or invoicing workflows and propose solutions. Support implementation of new tools, templates, and automation opportunities that streamline BD processes. Must Have 5+ years of experience in a commercial, sales operations, or contract-focused role, with demonstrated comfort working crossfunctionally with Business Development, Finance, and Operations. Proven experience navigating procurement organizations, either on the buyer or seller side. Highly detailoriented with strong commercial mindset to balance accuracy and governance with business priorities (not purely administrative). Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to clearly document, summarize, and communicate across internal teams. Selfstarter who is proactive, ownershipdriven, and capable of independently driving projects from initiation through completion. Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment. Assets to Have Experience in the mining industry or a related industrial sector (e.g., energy, infrastructure, engineering services). Multilingual capabilities, particularly Spanish and/or French, in addition to English (please indicate proficiency level clearly on resume). Experience supporting endtoend sales or commercial cycles from market and jurisdictional assessments, and contract and execution, including approvals, contract execution, and invoicing support.
