Were seeking an experienced insurance operator to step into the role of Manager, Underwriting Operations & Agent Services someone who thrives at the intersection of underwriting, case management, and agent experience, and who brings clarity, structure, and momentum to even the most complex situations. Youll lead and evolve our underwriting and case management function, while owning the onboarding and ongoing experience of brokerages and agents using our MGA support platform. Youll design smarter processes, elevate and coach teams, and serve as the trusted point person when cases, relationships, or expectations become complex. This is not a sales role, but a leadershiporiented position, centered on execution and relationships. Its ideal for someone who takes ownership of how work gets done and how agents experience our firm, bringing consistency, confidence, and strong results to every interaction. What Makes This Role Interesting Youll play a key role in shaping how underwriting and agent services operate, not just maintaining the status quo. Youll work across two connected channels: internal partner brokerages and independent brokers using our MGA support platform. Youll have meaningful ownership, influencing process design, people leadership, and the overall agent experience. Youll be trusted to think critically, solve problems, and raise the bar. What Youll Do Lead and evolve our underwriting team from a traditional medical underwriting model to a high-accountability, case management-driven function. Own the end-to-end onboarding of brokerages and agents (contracting, carrier access, codes, permissions, and setup). Act as the primary operational contact for agents and brokerages using our MGA support platform. Ensure a high-touch, responsive, and professional service experience. Serve as the escalation point for complex cases, service issues, or process gaps. Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Carriers, and Internal Teams to continuously improve workflows. What You Bring 510+ years of experience in Insurance Operations, Underwriting Support, or Brokerage Management. Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. Proven experience leading or coaching operational and administrative teams. A strong understanding of life insurance underwriting processes, medical requirements, and carrier workflows. Comfort working directly with independent agents and broker networks. The ability to manage expectations, navigate complexity, and handle difficult conversations with professionalism and confidence. A natural inclination to build clarity, structure, and consistency in complex or fastmoving environments. A resultsdriven, clientfocused, accountable, and proactive mindset.
