Help build the future of mass-timber construction! Element5 designs and manufactures sustainable timber components for commercial and residential projects. Were looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead operations on the Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) line. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of CLT production, including safety, quality, productivity, and team performance. This role plays a critical role in aligning daily operations with broader organizational objectives, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality mass timber products. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capability, deep knowledge of wood manufacturing processes, and the ability to optimize performance in a fast-paced, production environment. Current Vacancy: 1 position available Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all CLT line operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Coordinate production activities, workforce planning, and scheduling to meet operational targets and delivery timelines. Monitor performance metrics (KPIs) and implement improvements to optimize productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency. Collaborate with Maintenance to address equipment performance and minimize downtime. Champion and enforce health and safety standards, fostering a strong safety culture. Develop team capability through coaching, cross-training, and performance management. Partner with Human Resources and leadership on employee relations and workforce initiatives. Oversee production reporting, material usage tracking, and timecard approvals for payroll accuracy. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, workflow, and resource utilization. Perform additional duties as required to support departmental and organizational objectives. Qualifications and Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing workforce. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, preferably within wood products, mass timber, or industrial production environments. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting. Proven ability to analyze production metrics (KPIs) and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and quality. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence at all levels of the organization. Experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Proficiency with ERP systems, time and attendance systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Education and Experience: Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive production leadership experience. Completion of formal certifications or training in production management, manufacturing operations, or occupational health and safety. Experience in employee relations, coaching, and workforce management. Experience in wood processing, CNC operations, or mass timber (CLT) manufacturing. What We Offer!
