The Opportunity: Our client, a fast-growing Canadian business in the energy sector , is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team on a 16-month fixed-term contract . In this role, you will partner closely with executive leadership to shape people strategies, strengthen company culture, and ensure the organization continues to attract, develop, and retain top talent while maintaining a high-performance and inclusive workplace. What Youll Be Doing: Strategic Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and HR best practices. Policy & Program Development: Lead the development and implementation of HR policies and initiatives that promote fairness, compliance, and operational excellence. Employee Relations: Manage complex employee relations matters while fostering a positive, respectful, and productive workplace environment. Culture & Engagement: Help strengthen company culture by developing initiatives that drive employee engagement, inclusion, and professional growth. Talent Acquisition & Retention: Partner with department leaders to attract, onboard, and retain high-performing talent aligned with the companys growth objectives. Performance Management: Oversee performance management processes, including reviews, development planning, and leadership coaching. Compensation & Benefits: Review and support the optimization of compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive and aligned with company strategy. Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and smooth transitions across teams. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure HR practices comply with applicable labor laws and mitigate organizational risk. What Youll Need to Be Successful: Senior HR Experience: Proven experience in a senior HR leadership or business partnering role. Strategic Mindset: Ability to connect HR initiatives with broader business objectives and organizational growth. Adaptability: Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments and navigating evolving priorities. HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compensation & benefits, and talent management. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across teams and leadership levels. Problem Solving: Sound judgment and the ability to resolve complex HR issues with discretion and professionalism. Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CHRP designation preferred. Bilingual (English/French) is preferred but not required. Compensation Expectations: $140,000 - $160,000.
