Position: Part-Time Optician Employment Type: Part-Time Pay Range: $30 $40 per hour (based on experience) We are seeking a Part-Time Optician to support our employee visual health program. In this role, you will assess employees vision needs, recommend appropriate lenses, coordinate orders with the laboratory, and ensure employees receive properly fitted eyewear. Responsibilities Assess employees vision needs and recommend appropriate lenses Take accurate optical measurements to ensure proper lens fitting Place and manage orders with the laboratory using the WINK (PMS) system Follow up with the laboratory regarding order status and delivery timelines Deliver completed eyewear, confirm vision accuracy, and make any necessary adjustments Manage remakes or corrections when required Work with the marketing team to stay informed about new products and ensure sales support materials remain up to date Communicate updates and materials to other locations to ensure program consistency Provide flexible service hours, including early mornings (for night shift employees) and later evenings (for evening shift employees) Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the visual health program Requirements Must hold a valid Registered Optician license in Ontario and be in good standing with the College of Opticians of Ontario Experience working as an optician in a clinical, retail, or occupational setting is an asset Strong knowledge of lenses, lens materials, and optical measurements Comfortable using practice management systems (experience with WINK PMS is an asset) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings to support different employee shifts Additional Information This posting is for an existing vacancy .
