As part of our continued expansion, we are looking to bring on a driven and talented Associate to support our business and corporate development initiatives as well as our growing ETF business. The Associate will play a key role in supporting NPPs corporate development and ETF initiatives. This individual will work closely with the Heads of Corporate Development and Business Development and the Head, ETFs to drive strategic business projects, enhance the firms market position, and support the continued success of our ETF offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or asset management, be an exceptional communicator, and have a curiosity-driven approach to learning and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: Assist in evaluating business development opportunities, including strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and new product launches, particularly in the ETF space Support the development and execution of corporate strategy initiatives related to business growth and market expansion Conduct market and industry research, providing actionable insights to support corporate development and ETF strategy Prepare and maintain materials such as presentations, financial models, and investment memoranda to support internal and external business discussions Collaborate across teams to assess new product opportunities, with a particular focus on ETFs and other asset management offerings Assist in monitoring industry trends and competitor activity to identify potential threats and opportunities Help in the preparation of communications to senior leadership and stakeholders Functional Competencies: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in finance, asset management, wealth management, or related sectors Strong academic background, with a university degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business) CFA designation or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) diploma is preferred, but not required Solid understanding of asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternative investments) and investment strategies Previous experience supporting business development, corporate strategy or ETF operations is a plus Strong analytical skills, with the ability to build financial models and analyze market data Exceptional written and verbal communication skills High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, ChatGPT) Personal Attributes: Intellectually curious, with a strong interest in the finance and asset management sectors Motivated and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Highly collaborative, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Personable and relationship-focused, able to build strong connections with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders Eager to learn and stay ahead of industry trends Why Join Ninepoint Be part of a dynamic, growing firm with a collaborative, employee-owned culture Work closely with senior leaders and gain exposure to high-level strategic initiatives Opportunities for professional development, learning, and career growth Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits (starting immediately), and RRSP matching Employee referral program Complimentary coffee, tea, and fresh fruit in the office Additional Information Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
