Were looking for a Procurement Lead who brings both operational discipline and strong commercial instincts someone who can build trusted supplier relationships, improve procurement performance, and ensure our operating teams have the materials and services they need to succeed. This role is a key part of how we support enterprise growth through disciplined supply chain execution, proactive planning, and procurement service excellence. The opportunity This is an opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys balancing strategy with execution. In this role, you will lead sourcing and purchasing activities that support both corporate operations and the distinct needs of individual operating companies. You will help strengthen supplier performance, improve service levels, reduce risk, and ensure procurement practices are responsive, reliable, and aligned with internal customer expectations. Youll work cross-functionally with operations, logistics, quality, finance, warehouse teams, and site leadership, acting as a trusted partner who helps keep the business moving. Youll also play an important role in driving continuous improvement, supporting purchasing governance, and reinforcing consistent, high-quality procurement practices across the organization. What youll do As Procurement Lead, you will: Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from requisition through purchase order issuance, to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services. Monitor purchase order progress, delivery performance, and incoming material quality, and resolve delays, shortages, or discrepancies. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier contracts, price lists, and process documentation. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships that support reliability, responsiveness, and service excellence. Evaluate supplier performance using key measures related to quality, pricing, delivery, and service responsiveness. Support supplier development efforts, including corrective action processes and continuous improvement expectations. Assist with supplier qualification and onboarding to ensure alignment with safety, quality, and compliance requirements. Lead sourcing activities such as RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, negotiate commercial terms, and secure competitive pricing. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, value improvement, and supply chain optimization across categories. Support cross-company procurement consolidation where scale can create value. Conduct market research to understand pricing trends, supply conditions, and emerging supply risks. Forecast purchasing needs and communicate proactively with operating teams to support production and project execution. Collaborate with warehouse teams to improve material availability and reduce stockouts. Ensure procurement activities meet safety, regulatory, ethical, and internal policy requirements. Identify supply chain risks and recommend mitigation strategies, including alternate sourcing and contingency planning. What you bring Youre a procurement professional who combines strong relationship management with sound business judgment and a practical, service-oriented mindset. Were looking for someone with: 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience , ideally in the chemical industry or within a manufacturing or industrial environment. A track record of managing suppliers, negotiating agreements, and improving cost, service, and quality outcomes. Strong analytical and commercial capabilities, including an understanding of pricing structures, cost drivers, and value analysis. A high level of organizational discipline, including strong documentation practices, process adherence, and follow-through. The ability to collaborate effectively across multiple operating companies with different needs and priorities. Experience with ERP or procurement systems, vendor management tools, and purchasing workflow management. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Postsecondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
