Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid, 4 days on site with Fridays from home) Language: English, strong written and verbal communication required Duration: Permanent, Full-Time Background Check Requirement: Criminal background check required About the Opportunity Our client, a wellknown national retail organization, is looking for a Specialist, Social and Community to bring their brand voice to life across social platforms. This role sits within a collaborative marketing and brand engagement team and plays a key part in how the organization connects with its customers online. As the daytoday voice of the brand, you will create engaging social content, manage conversations with followers and help shape the brands digital presence in real time. Working closely with internal teams, agency partners and creators, you will ensure content feels authentic, timely and aligned with campaign priorities while building meaningful connections with the community. Your Responsibilities Youll plan and execute social media content calendars aligned with brand and campaign priorities. Youll create and publish platformspecific content including posts, stories, short videos, and graphics. Youll engage with followers, respond to customer inquiries, and foster authentic community conversations across social platforms. Youll collaborate with agency partners, creators, and influencers to develop compelling socialfirst content. Youll monitor social media trends and platform performance to inform strategy and content development. Youll support live coverage of campaigns, events, and community initiatives to ensure timely and engaging content. Youll track engagement metrics and share insights to help optimize future campaigns and content performance. Skills and Qualifications 2 to 4 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or community engagement. Strong understanding of platformspecific content strategies and social media best practices. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with an eye for brand voice and tone. Experience using social media scheduling and analytics tools to manage and measure content performance. Ability to respond quickly and professionally to customer interactions in a public digital environment. A strong interest in social trends, cultural relevance, and evolving platform features. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Bilingualism in French is considered an asset.
